We need to realize that happiness can never be “attained”. As in, you can’t take all the right steps in your life, and after that point, feel perfectly content forever. The best we can expect is those momentary flashes of “everything is right”. Like today. What did I do? I volunteered as a lifeguard, I caught up with an old friend, I found some new music. Nothing special, and in fact considered mundane by “happy life” standards. But today was better than yesterday. And that fact alone constitutes happiness for me.

It’s that feeling at the end of the night. When you look at the clock, and feel that you should actually log off, for real this time. Yet, you want to stay awake, because there are so many movies you want to watch, or albums to listen to, or books to read.

Then you realize you had that whole evening to do those things. Instead, you didn’t really do much at all. (what happaned to that last hour?)

Rinse and repeat, every single weekday.

or Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder, is the presence of visual disturbances akin to ingesting psychedelic drugs, that do not go away even after the effects of the drug wear off. This could mean years of trailing colors, dimension disorders and other similar phenomena.

You know, this is probably actually really terrible. But goddammit, that sounds like fun. It would certainly make the daily routine of… life more interesting.
